Strength Based Approach

The Strength Based Approach focuses on a person’s strengths and abilities.

We will work with you to find out:

  • what is happening in your life
  • what matters to you
  • who is important you
  • what you are good at
  • what you like and do not like
  • what you need extra help with
  • what you want to happen next

We will:

  • talk to you and those that are important to you
  • understand what support is working well for you
  • look at what is happening in your community and around the city
  • make a care plan together about the support you need

When we communicate with you, we will:

  • explain things to you in a clear and easy way
  • ask you how you would like us to contact you

If something is not working, we will work together to change it.
